Day One. Girls are shown here, being tested on their poultry knowledge and on how comfortably they handle their bird. First Harriet and then Elisa. Both got a blue ribbon and their pullets won blue ribbons too though not for brains but for looking pretty. By the way, these two beauties were from that batch of chicks we got this winter. Not a bad start and when one event is done we are on to the next.

Yay, Harriet & Elisa! They are so calm and in control. I can only hope that I’ll be half as calm and in control once I graduate from Toastmasters.
