One set of twins.
We don’t like to have lambs this time of year but the girls need them to be born in the winter if they will show them next summer at the fair. So Elisa’s ewe, Rhonda, had twin ewe lambs. Perfect. Both girls want bigger flocks and if all goes the way it should (ahem) these lambs will be here for the rest of their long lives. Rhonda is a great mother and she is a Hampshire so her milk is extra rich- more like heavy cream than milk which makes for strong lambs that grow quickly.
I’m warmed up now and need to head back out to finish chores. More later…
