These two had similar injuries, both from car accidents, on the same day last summer. Wendy remembered me saying that at Thanksgiving we would look back and shake our heads and laugh, and that was all true, except for the laughing part. Without realizing it, all this time I was waiting to take this picture.

I love this post and this photo. I’ll always remember Belle patiently braiding Harriet’s hair, and Dad talking about injuries and recovery and then getting up with no trouble (and no cane) and going to the kitchen to get his photo taken. You’re right–we waited a long time to see this photo. Giving thanks, Wendy
